Getting started

What Prescene is, your first ten minutes, and a map of the Workspace.

What is Prescene?

Prescene is story intelligence for film and television. Upload a script and Prescene reads it like a story department: every scene, every character, every draft. That knowledge powers everything else: an assistant you can ask questions, coverage reports, workflows that generate breakdowns and schedules, and a screenplay editor that knows your story.

Your first ten minutes

  1. Create an account. New accounts include starter intelligence: analyze one title free, no card required.
  2. Upload a script (PDF or Final Draft work best) or start writing in the Screenplay Editor.
  3. Review what Prescene detected: title, format, where it should live. You can change any of it.
  4. Prescene analyzes the script. This takes a few minutes. You will see progress on the title page and a notification when it is done.
  5. Open the title. Read the summary and scene map, browse characters, and open the assistant panel to ask your first question.

The Workspace

  • Home: your recent titles, running work, and latest artifacts.
  • Library: every title you have, films and series, with all their versions.
  • Workflows: repeatable processes that produce documents and tables, like Coverage and Character Breakdown.
  • Artifacts: everything your workflows have produced, in one place.
  • Agent: chat with the assistant about anything in your Library.
  • Connectors: connect Google Drive and other tools.
